Lost in thought Taken in the early seventies, this is one of several similar images that I made during a modelling session with the subject ( an acquaintance from work ). The light was from a single window, with fill-in being provided by the reflection from the wallpaper, and I used a soft-focus attachment to the lens. It was well received at the camera club, where it won the Oakden cup for the best print in the beginners class in the 1992 exhibition. It appears far more harsh and contrasty in the screen rendition, compared to the original print, which is much softer, and more in keeping with the subject.
