Playtime's over In the late 1960's I paid a visit to an old manor house in Kent, that had just been opened up to the public by its new owner. One of the rooms had the appearance of having been only just vacated by the children of a Victorian family, and this is where I took this photograph, together with "Playroom". The print was first made in 1991, and was probably the first time that I applied any form of manipulation - in this case, the "burning-in" of the window to try and reveal some detail in the small-paned framework, which appears more pronounced in the original print. |
