Monolith

This is another of those pictures that took me several years to get round to take.

I had been fascinated by the old railway engine shed at Elmers End for ages, and one very crisp, bright Saturday in January we were due to do some shopping.

Since the shed is fenced off from the Tesco's car park, I took along my camera with infra-red film and a 17mm lens.

The sky was in fact very dark blue, but has been rendered black by the effect of the dark red infra-red filter. I particularly enjoy the light on the right-hand window.
