The Mirror Crack'd Taken on the same day as "High Tide Mark", this location was discovered whilst looking at potential stables to house my wife's two ponies. The stables themselves were fine, but the fields where the ponies were turned out opened onto woods that contained a veritable scrapyard, including the wrecked caravan in this picture. Since our four-legged friends are very adept at inflicting the maximum amount of injury to themselves in the safest of environments, we decided not to move them here. I did however return the following weekend to shoot a roll of infra-red film, including two other successful images: "The country seat" and "If you go down to the woods . . .".
